Jesús Ascaso was born in a humble mountain town in the north of Spain. He was a man with an entrepreneurial spirit and the town offered him little opportunity. As a result he left for Barcelona with the equivalent of $30 in his pocket and a head full ideas. Recommended for grinding mainly espresso beans the I-1 Coffee Grinder features flat grinding wheels for ultra precise grinding of coffee beans. The wheels turn at 700 RPM for quiet, low static operation. Made of tempered steel, the blades offer extremely long life and they are replaceable. The platform insures that the wheels spin in perfect balance and with virtually no vibration. A great added feature of this machine is the coffee chute which funnels the freshly ground coffee from the grinding chamber directly into a coffee holder for your espresso machine or into a coffee filter.
