Comments about Farberware Percolator (4-12 Cup):
You can taste the difference between perculator brewed coffee and coffee from an automatic drip coffee maker. This brews the coffee in relatively the same amount of time, cleans as easy as those coffee makers but makes a superior pot of coffee. Makes approximately one cup per minute.

Comments about Farberware Percolator (4-12 Cup):
While I was given this product from CSN to review for my blog, the opinions below are entirely my own.
I love percolators because I feel they brew a richer cup of coffee, that's not overbrewed despite what people may say. The boiling water doesn't actually reach the coffee grounds after it passes through the tube.
The brewing time is ridiculously fast, a minute per cup, and switches to a warming mode. You should take the basket and tube out to prevent the percolation process from restarting, which would produce overbrewed coffee. The coffee starts off hot, and continues to say at the perfect temperature.
My only con is that you have to remember to unplug the pot or else it will continue to stay on warm mode. Other than that, I've had it for a few weeks now and used it almost everyday, and it's consistent. Just make sure to rinse and clean the pot and parts after each use.

This coffee pot brews the hottest coffee ever in a very short time. I like it because it takes up less counter space and I can easily tuck it away when not in use. It is a tall pot (12 cup)but attractive design. You can remove the stem and basket after brewing and use as a carafe that keeps the coffee hot.

I love all the features about this coffee pot. It takes up less space on the counter top and can easily be put away out of sight when not in use. The 12 cup pot is tall, but I love the style and it brews so quickly and stays hot!Remove the stem and basket after brewing and you have coffee in a steaming hot carafe!

Comments about Farberware Percolator (4-12 Cup):
I've had the plastic coffee makers for years and have never been impressed. WHy it took me so long to buy this percolator is a mystery to me. After my latest Mr. Coffee conked out, I decided it was time for a change. I was debating investing in a new very expensive coffee maker or the old fashioned electric coffee pot. I read all the review on this pot and ordered it. [...] I had my first pot yesterday. The coffee was delicious and best of all really, really HOT. This pot does not have any bells and whistles...no green lights or red lights, no outside glass indicator to show you how full it is. I put the filters from my old maker into the little thing where you put the coffee and that works just fine. It's less of a mess to clean. It does brew very quickly, shuts itself down to warm when it's done brewing. I had an elelctric coffee pot years ago and it's true that the quality of the pot is not what it used to be, but I have no complaints. Good tasting, hot coffee - I'm a happy camper.

Comments about Farberware Percolator (4-12 Cup):
I am not a "coffee snob" by any means. I just know that I love my percolator. We had been through many drip-type but they just don't get the coffee hot enough. This is fast, easy to use and makes great tasting coffee for your average, everyday "needs a cup or 2 to get going" type person. My only complaint is that fewer stores are carrying the filters, and to buy online you have to order a lot just to recoup the shipping costs!
